Jakarta, 24 November, 2025 – PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (IDX: GOTO, “GoTo Group” or the “Company”), the largest digital ecosystem in Indonesia, today announced a planned leadership transition through which Hans Patuwo has been nominated to become its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This appointment is subject to approval at the upcoming Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS), scheduled for 17 December, 2025. Hans will succeed Patrick Walujo, who is stepping down from his position, having served as CEO since June 2023.
This nomination and transition are part of a rigorous succession process prepared by the Board of Directors, reflecting the Company’s commitment to ensuring stability, strategic continuity, and operational excellence as GoTo enters its next phase of sustainable growth and profitability.
Agus Martowardojo, President Commissioner of GoTo, stated: “I would like to thank Patrick for his brilliant leadership over the past two and a half years, during which we have witnessed a period of remarkable transformation. Since his appointment in June 2023, he has steered GoTo through a disciplined and strategic turnaround—one that has fundamentally strengthened our financial foundation, sharpened our operational focus, and restored clarity on our long-term direction.
“I would also like to congratulate Hans on his nomination to become GoTo President Director and CEO. His significant experience within the ecosystem, as well as his commitment to driver-partner and merchant welfare make him the ideal candidate to drive the Company forward.”
Patrick Walujo, CEO of GoTo, said: “I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone within the GoTo family for their unwavering dedication throughout the transformation of the past two years. I am deeply proud of the collective effort of the team, whose hard work has been instrumental in bringing the Company to the position of strength it is in today.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to Hans, who has played a pivotal role in GoTo’s journey for nearly a decade. He possesses a comprehensive understanding of the Company’s operations, ranging from on-the-ground experience to high-level organizational strategy. His proven leadership capability as well as his integrity make him the right person to lead GoTo into its next phase.”
With almost eight years of experience at Gojek, GoPay and later GoTo, Hans has led various key business lines within the Company. He joined Gojek in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer focused on driver-partner and transport operations, strengthening one of the most vital foundations of what would become the GoTo ecosystem. Hans also played a strategic role in the development and expansion of GoTo Financial (GTF) leading the business as President, as it became one of Indonesia’s best-known fintech platforms.
In his current role as Chief Operating Officer and President of On-Demand Services (ODS), he leads all operations throughout the ecosystem. In this role, he has driven growth, efficiency, and profitability through data-driven, operational discipline. Before joining Gojek, Hans worked across USA, China and Singapore in a variety of multinational companies, including as a Partner at the management consulting firm McKinsey.
