GoMudik supports driver-partners and their families in traveling home and returning to Jakarta safely and comfortably

Jakarta, Indonesia, 13 March 2026 – PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk. (IDX: “GOTO” or the “Company”), Indonesia’s largest digital ecosystem, is collaborating with the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia to support Gojek driver-partners and their families in returning to their hometowns through the GoMudik free homecoming travel program.

The initiative is part of the Ministry of Transportation’s annual Eid homecoming program, supported by GoTo to encourage safer and more organized travel during the Idulfitri period while helping to ease congestion during the holiday season.

GoTo has arranged five travel destinations for driver-partners and their families. Participants depart from Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal in Jakarta to cities across West Java, Central Java, East Java and Sumatra, including Kuningan, Semarang, Surabaya, Lampung and Palembang. Buses will also be available at five designated locations in the same regions for the return journey to Jakarta.

Hans Patuwo, GoTo Group CEO, said, “We understand that Idulfitri is a special moment when many look forward to returning home and spending time with their loved ones. Through conversations with driver-partners, we understand how meaningful this opportunity is for them and their families.”

“At the same time, travelling home for the holidays often requires additional preparation and costs, and the increased demand for transport tickets can make it harder for driver-partners to secure travel. We are therefore grateful to work with the Ministry of Transportation to provide free travel for driver-partners through GoMudik. Through this program, we hope driver-partners can return home and reunite with their families safely and comfortably. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to supporting the well-being of driver-partners and their families,” Hans added.

Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Agus H. Yudhoyono, said, “The government appreciates GoTo’s contribution in supporting safe transportation options for driver-partners during this year’s homecoming season. Initiatives like GoMudik show how collaboration between the government and private sector can expand access to safer, more comfortable and more affordable mobility, while strengthening connectivity between regions during the Lebaran period. Strategic collaborations like this are important to support mobility flows that are more orderly, better coordinated, and integrated.”

The program also supports the Ministry of Transportation’s broader efforts to manage passenger flows during the holiday season. According to the Integrated Eid Transport Command Post 2025, bus passenger numbers increased by 9% five days before Eid, highlighting the importance of more organized travel arrangements.

Minister of Transportation, Dudy Purwagandhi, said, “We welcome the GoMudik initiative, which aligns with the Ministry of Transportation’s efforts to support safer and more organised passenger mobility during the Lebaran holiday period. By managing departure and arrival points in a structured way, programs like this help reduce congestion from independent travel while contributing to a more orderly mobility system.”

As part of the program, GoTo will also distribute GoFood vouchers to participating driver-partners, enabling them to enjoy local culinary offerings in their destination cities while supporting local culinary MSMEs.

In line with President Prabowo Subianto’s direction to strengthen social protection and worker welfare, GoMudik complements GoTo’s broader driver-partner support initiatives under the Bakti GoTo untuk Negeri program. In addition to recently distributing Holiday Bonuses (BHR), GoTo has introduced several initiatives to support driver-partners, including free access to BPJS Health and BPJS Employment since December 2025, the Gojek Driver Job Marketplace (Bursa Kerja Mitra Gojek), scholarship programs for driver-partners and their families, and the Program Usaha Mitra Swadaya, which supports driver-partners in building additional skills and income opportunities.
