Bandung, 21 November 2025 - PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GoTo), Indonesia's largest digital ecosystem, and Bandung City Government have signed an agreement to strengthen their collaboration in accelerating digital transformation and expanding the utilization of technology across Bandung City. This partnership focuses on leveraging GoTo's digital platform and ecosystem, including integrating public transportation services, strengthening the MSME’s ecosystem, utilizing digital payments, supporting the tourism sector, developing young talent, and implementing other strategic programs aligned with the Bandung City Government’s priority agenda.

Muhammad Chairil, Head of Partnership Public Policy & Government Relations at GoTo, stated that this partnership marks the continuation of ongoing programs and will be expanded to deliver greater benefits to the Bandung City community.

“Bandung is one of the fastest-growing cities in Indonesia in terms of digital ecosystem utilization. We believe this collaboration will not only enhance access to public services but also create opportunities for MSMEs, students, and the younger generation to thrive with technological support. GoTo, through Gojek and GoPay, is committed to contributing through innovation, training, and the integration of services relevant to the needs of the Bandung community,” said Muhammad Chairil.

Muhammad Farhan, Mayor of Bandung, expressed his appreciation for the ongoing partnership with Gojek as part of the City Government's efforts to strengthen public service governance, making it more inclusive, modern, and responsive.

“Digital transformation is a vital component for enhancing the quality of public services and enhancing community capacity in the pursuit of greater public welfare. We hope this collaboration will accelerate technology adoption, drive the growth of the creative economy, and create a more supportive environment for MSMEs and the younger generation in Bandung,” said Muhammad Farhan in his welcoming remarks.

Achievements of Ongoing Programs
This is not the first collaboration between Gojek and the Bandung City Government. Previously, several collaborations have already been initiated, yielding positive impacts for the community–notably through the organization of the School Creative Hub 2025. School Creative Hub is a Gojek program that empowers Bandung’s youth by boosting their soft skills and stimulating creativity. This initiative involved over 50 schools and more than 10,000 students.

In the environmental sector, GoTo conducts periodic Vehicle Emission Tests annually. In Phase 1, GoTo, through Gojek and the Bandung City Environmental Agency, conducted checks on 500 GoRide driver-partner vehicles, with plans to subsequently test hundreds more driver-partners in Bandung.

In transportation, Gojek and the Bandung City Government collaborated to provide transportation support services during the Bandung Great Sale 2025 and supported the organization of the Merah Putih Concert 2025. This support not only facilitated community mobility for mass-attended events but also helped mitigate traffic congestion due to limited parking spaces and road capacity in Bandung city.

Moving forward, both parties will broaden their cooperation through training and digitalization programs for MSMEs under the guidance of the Bandung City Government, the implementation of subsequent phases of the Vehicle Emission Tests, and a series of socialization initiatives on Public Security and Order (Kamtibmas). The latter will focus on enhancing awareness and preventing criminal acts in public spaces and surrounding environments.

These initiatives are a concrete manifestation of GoTo's commitment to 'Driving Progress' across its entire ecosystem, while simultaneously supporting the Bandung City Government in realizing a community that is increasingly digitally savvy and competitive.

“We aim to ensure that every initiative introduced truly delivers impact for residents, students, business owners, and the transportation ecosystem in Bandung. As a National Champion that continues to #StruggleForIndonesia, this collaboration presents an opportunity to jointly strengthen technology-based public services that are more inclusive and widely beneficial,” concluded Muhammad Chairil.
